Because I already have a career, I'm not desperate for commissions. Which means I will do commissions, and sometimes if the project interests me it could be at bare bone rates, but generally I charge enough to make me stop drawing what I want to draw and draw what you want instead. I quantify that as the same rate I earn at work which is $54 NZD or $32 USD an hour + GST What sort of artist am I? Well at my heart I'm an illustrator, slow cooked over a life time of doodling. I do mainly illustration in digital as well as traditional pen and paper, and some very poor animation work from time to time to amuse myself. |
